28th May 2013 - the latest Inspired license agreement, signed with Gamenet, a leader Italian operator, means that Inspired now covers about 90% of the Italian Virtual Sports market.

Inspired Gaming Group (Inspired), a provider of Virtual Sports for the online sector as well as for the most advanced gambling halls in the world, has now cemented its leadership position in Italy, adding another important Italian operator, Gamenet, to its customer base. The British company has signed licensing agreements for its innovative Virtual Sport with six other Italian operators: SNAI, Sisal, Eurobet, Intralot, Cogetech and Lottomatica.

Gamenet is one of Italy’s leading licensees in the online games, betting and VLT sectors.  Claudio Sforza, CEO of Gamenet, commented on this virtual sports partnership: “With the signing of this agreement, Gamenet is ready to expand its gaming offering. Customers of our online platform will have the opportunity to bet on Inspired virtual sporting events such as soccer, horse racing, greyhound racing, motorcycle racing, tennis and cycling races on the site. Virtual sports will also be available in more than 100 halls across Italy.”

After the recent Italian legislation legalising virtual fixed-odds sports betting, both for the online and gambling hall markets, Inspired began the process of AAMS’s approval and expects this to come to fruition in July 2013, when Inspired virtual events will finally go live. In addition to being the trusted Virtual Sports supplier, Inspired is already one of the 3 largest providers of VLTs in Italy with contracts for over 10,000 gaming terminals with the leading licensees.

Steve Rogers, General Manager of Inspired Virtual Sport, commented: “This is a very special moment for the new Italian Virtual Sports market, and Inspired feels very attached to these events. Our years of experience working all over the world have proven that our products generate incremental gains on sports betting from all channels, and our premium package continues to deliver far greater revenues than those of our competitors. We already supply our virtual sports to successful companies around the world, and today we are pleased to announce that Gamenet is now one of our customers.”
